Waiting On Wednesday (14).

Waiting On Wednesday is from Jill, at Breaking the Spine.

Want to Go Private? by Sarah Darer Littman

Abby and Luke chat online. They've never met. But they are going to. Soon.

Abby is starting high school—it should be exciting, so why doesn't she care? Everyone tells her to "make an effort," but why can't she just be herself? Abby quickly feels like she's losing a grip on her once-happy life. The only thing she cares about anymore is talking to Luke, a guy she met online, who understands. It feels dangerous and yet good to chat with Luke—he is her secret, and she's his. Then Luke asks her to meet him, and she does. But Luke isn't who he says he is. When Abby goes missing, everyone is left to put together the pieces. If they don't, they'll never see Abby again.

How long have I been waiting on this? FOREVER! I've seen a few other bloggers that have already had the privilege of reading this, and I haven't heard anything really negative about it. I'm so excited!

  4. This one sounds really interesting. You hear stories like that on the news all the time, but I've never seen the subject used in a novel before.

  8. I'm curious to see how this book goes myself! I have a feeling it will be either really good or just won't work for me.

  9. I think this story explores and interesting thing that actually happens in life. With all of those paranormal stories out right now this one sounds like a great contemporary about a real issue.
